Together with EWS and other project partners such as BORDA and the WRC, the PRG have assisted in the development of experimental field sites for undertaking pilot investigations. These include Newlands Mashu (DEWATS, laboratory and agricultural trials), Amanzimtoti Wastewater Treatment Works (co-digestion), Tongaat Wastewater Treatment Works (LaDePa), and Isipingo Wastewater Treatment Works (Black Soldier Fly processing plant). Researchers wishing to undertake field trials of their equipment, or to undertake experimental trials will have access to Newlands Mashu, as well as having access to viewing the pilot scale investigations underway at the other field sites.
