Training in analytical techniques for the characterisation of FS and other excreta streams is provided by the Laboratory Manager (Merlien Reddy) and Laboratory Technician (Thabiso Zikalala). Training in microbiological techniques for the analysis of Helminths is provided by a parasitologist, Colleen Archer. This training is either undertaken at UKZN (PRG laboratories or microbiology laboratories on the Westville Campus), or on-site at the researcher’s facility. Advice on the type of equipment to purchase, laboratory layout and health and safety requirements is also provided.
