Rennia is a holder of a BEng (Hons) degree from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Zimbabwe. During her internship she worked for Murray and Roberts-Proplastics for a period of eight months. At present, Rennia is a MSc Eng (Chemical Eng) research student in the Pollution Research Group at the University of KwaZulu-Natal which is funded by The Water Research Commission. Her research focuses on the flow characteristics and mass balances of vertically flow constructed wetlands.
