Stuart is a postgraduate student investigating the rheological properties of human excreta, in an effort to provide mechanical property design data for new generation off-the-grid sanitation technologies. Stuart also works for the Water Research Commission as a project manager, demonstrating these sanitation technologies in rural South African environments and supporting commercial uptake and localisation. Stuart is also an active member of the South African Young Water Professionals, serving as the Gauteng Chair, National Treasurer, and Conference Chair of the 1st African IWA YWP Conference.
