Project Title:
Characterisation of solar drying of fecal sludge from VIP latrines.
Supervisors:
Prof CA Buckley
Mr Mugauri is an MSc Eng. (Mechanical) student in the Pollution Research Group at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He holds a BSc Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu Natal. He is designing and constructing a Solar dryer that will analyse the drying characteristics of Sludge. The project is funded by the Water Research Commission (WRC) and focusses on provision of scientific data for sanitation practitioners. Mr Mugauri has worked at various consulting firms focusing on construction services.
