Alfred Odindo has background in Crop Science/Agronomy. His PhD in Crop Science focused on the biochemical and molecular basis of seed quality development in seeds of drought tolerant plants in response to water stress. Current research interests include plant nutrition focusing on nutrient recovery and re-use from waste and the sustainable management of water and wastewater. He also has an interest in crop modelling and seed science and technology. He is currently leading the project on integrating agriculture in designing low cost sanitation technologies.
