Mr Muzhingi is an MSc Eng (Chemical) student in the Pollution Research Group at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He holds a BSc Eng in Chemical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu Natal. He is designing and constructing a Forward Osmosis Rig that will desalinate urine and produce portable water. The project falls under the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation`s supported Reinvent the Toilet Challenge (RTTC) that underscores the provision of low cost sanitation.
